Meet our Key Leaders
Chris Austin has been Pastoring at NCCF for over 21 years. His family moved to Woodland Park and became part of this Fellowship in 1980. After meeting his wife Tiffany and finishing his undergrad studies in Photo Journalism, they moved out east to work as Wilderness Instructors for At Risk Youth. Once having their first of four daughters, they moved south of Kansas City where they directed an Outdoor Education Center. It was then that Chris went to Bible College at what’s now known as the Forerunner School of Ministry associated with the International House of Prayer. The Austin family moved back to Woodland Park in 1996 to oversee Highland Youth Ministry. Shortly afterwards, Chris entered the Lead Pastor role of NCCF. He and Tiffany have been married 31 years and enjoy their adult children, adventuring and life in community here in Woodland Park.
Nicolette and her family Cam, Hadassah and Ethan have been with NCCF for 8 years. She has been leading worship with this congregation for around the same time. She has been worship co-ordinator for 6 of those years. She previously lead worship for several youth/ young adults groups, churches and a discipleship training internship as worship director, in the front range area. Nicolette has a strong passion to see all parts of the arts used for Worship. She is a stay at home Mom, a violin teacher as well as an amateur visual artist and graphic designer. She also enjoys dancing and the outdoors. Nicolette is a Denver Native. She got her bachelor of arts in music from CSU in Pueblo. She then moved to Boulder where she met her husband Cam. After getting married they moved to Bangkok where they became certified in Teaching ESL. They then moved to Fuzhou China where they taught English at a University for a year and a half. Having their first child brought them home to Boulder. After their beautiful daughter was a year old they moved to Woodland Park. They have since had an amazing son and have planted roots for a little bit here in Woodland. They still have desire to live overseas again.
Ty and I first attended NCCF in early 2010 when I was pregnant with our oldest daughter, Reaiah. Our first visit to the church was like joining a family; something we desperately needed at that time. We were only in Woodland Park for a brief time before returning to Pakistan in the fall of 2010, but we stayed connected to the community of NCCF by listening to the weekly podcasts and sending out prayer updates. A year later, we returned to Colorado because of visa issues and because we were expecting our second daughter, Aleyna. I attended a weekly women’s group at the time that was so refreshing and real. Then, a couple years later I was invited to join the Children’s Ministry team, first as the Zoom (3-K) Coordinator and now in the Nursery. We have always felt that NCCF does community well, we have rejoiced and wept with these people, and we are thrilled that our children get to grow up here.
So my name is Chris, I was born in Lyon France. But when I was one I moved to the South Carolina where I ended up growing up for a good portion of my life. I ended up moving to Colorado 3 years ago to attend Charis Bible College. I graduated last year from Ministry school, but actually my passion for ministry did not start here in Colorado! When I was 14 years old I had an incredible experience with God. I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and this propelled me in my relationship with God! This encounter had a long lasting effect on my life and actually led me to the place I am now! A couple of years later I had a dream where I actually saw the end of my life in a way; I made a decision that led to me completely surrender my life to Jesus himself and His Kingdom. Im passionate to see the body of Christ united and see the next generation impacted. Some of my favortie quotes are: "the church is only one generation away from extinction"-anonymous and "light yourself on fire with passion and people will come from miles to watch you burn"-John Wesley
We have lived in Woodland Park for the last 8 years. My husband Todd and I have a 4 year old daughter, Lucia and a baby boy on the way. In my free time I like camping, travel adventures and writing/listening to music. I enjoy being the zoom coordinator because I get the chance to help encourage the spiritual and emotional growth of our 3 to 6 year olds.
